How to Refer



At Nova Psychology, our team values collaborating with other professionals to provide holistic, consistent individualised support for our clients.

We welcome new referrals and have listed our most common referral pathways below for your reference.

Do not delete

For GPs

A Mental Health Treatment Plan (MHTP) is required for your client to obtain Medicare benefits.

Please email us a dated and signed MHTP referral letter. Please ensure that the plan states how many sessions are approved. A review of the MHTP will be provided directly to the referring GP.

With client consent, our admin team will also email you a letter after your clients 1st, 4th and final sessions to update you of their participation in therapy.

For psychiatrists

We ask that you provide us with a referral letter.

Other health professionals

A referral is not required for health professionals (other than a GP or psychiatrist) wishing to refer a child, adolescent or adult. We invite you to contact us to discuss a referral further by emailing or phoning us.
